Artificial intelligence is increasingly used in various fields including scientific research. Where authors use generative artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process, authors should only use these technologies to improve readability and language. This publication policy outlines the guidelines and procedures for manuscript submission, review, and publication in The Canadian Journal of Infection Control (CJIC), a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing infection prevention and control by providing access to evidence-based resources.
Manuscript submission
Eligibility: Manuscripts submitted to CJIC should present original research, reviews or perspectives, and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Formatting: Authors are required to follow the Journal’s formatting guidelines for manuscript preparation. These guidelines include, but are not limited to, font style, size, referencing style, and manuscript structure.

In submitting to CJIC, all authors must agree to abide by CJIC editorial and journal policies. Manuscripts are reviewed with the explicit understanding that all authors have seen and approved of each submitted version.

All parties involved in the publishing process (authors, reviewers, editors, editorial board, and publisher) are expected to adhere to standards of ethical behaviour.
